Held on 14-15 July 2017 at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), MIT 2017 is a training event that aims to prepare and train UPH 2017/2018 Chief Mentors to achieve the profile of a Servant Leader. MIT 2017 training also coaches participants to be initiative, creative and disciplined in character as well as cooperating together as a team. The activities within the training are packed with creativity and fun while still holding a sense of discipline and seriousness to the participants' learning.

MIT 2017 brought in speakers expert in their fields, one of them being Mr. Stephen L. Metcalfe, UPH's Sports Department Excutive Directorwho also manages and guides Residence Life UPH. During the workshop, Mr. Metcalfe shared his experience regarding Servant Leadership and Teamwork. At the end, the training concluded with a closing prayer held by the Head Mentors 2016/2017.

"This training taught me what a family means. Mentoring isn't only an organisation that serves the student, but also a family consisting of members who thinks for and cares for each other in prayers and support.

I've learnt that the slightest little things do matter and affects everyone, such that timeliness is a small matter that is crucial to the flow of an activity. A lag in schedule can cause the entire planned activities to fall behind."
